My goal is to raise awareness about things that need of more attention. At times these topics can be quite controversial but if I feel that I can help someone, regardless of the circumstances, I will.
This is Holly. Holly was a beautiful outgoing 19 year old that was a sister, daughter and a friend to many. She was loved by everyone around her. Holly was going to school at CU Denver for Mechanical Engineering and volunteering in downtown Denver at a homeless soup kitchen. Holly was a certified Nurse Assistant at Public Partnerships and worked at Home Instead a home care facility that took care of the elderly. Holly was a happy sweet soul to everyone she encountered and loved her young husky that she recently adopted and named Optimus Prime.
On March 6th, 2015, Holly was found deceased by her roommate. Holly was hanging in her bedroom closet. The closet bar was only 5'3" and the cord was hanging one foot lower. Holly was 6'1" thus making it impossible for her to hang herself as she could have easily stood up. Holly’s right arm was facing down and her left arm was up pulling the cord away in a way that she would have been fighting for her life. The forensic doctors say this NEVER occurs in a suicide. Holly had no sign of mental illness and was extremely driven. This came as such a devastation to our dad and I, as you can imagine, but when I saw Holly I knew Holly didn't do this to herself. This was done at the hands of someone else.
As details of this tragedy started to unfold (broken clavicle, blood on the bed, hand print on the wall, wiped down door leading to bathroom, bodily fluids on carpet, multiple witness statements and violent text messages/voicemails from her ex boyfriend) this became more and more clear that this was NOT a suicide but a homicide. The State of Colorado had already ruled this as a suicide, so now we are seeking justice for Holly.
Fox News did a five part series called Justice For Holly and Dateline recently picked up Holly's story. Crime Watch Daily aired Holly's story in early February 2016. And love song events&photography inc. photographed the family to help raise awareness for Holly's story. As well as, there is now a $10,000 dollar reward leading to the arrest & knowledge of the crime.
After pushing this story to greater heights, it has finally been transferred to The Colorado Bureau of Investigations. This will allow some DNA testing to be done and a more thorough search through the evidence. But we still need donations in order to help pay for forensic testing. My family is certain that one or more than one individuals were involved in the murder of Holly and believe we know who; but since the state ruled that it was a suicide no arrests have been made.
After reviewing the evidence, My family firmly believes that my sister Holly was murdered. Here is something else that is so tragic, since this horrible incident 3 other families in the same STATE have come forth saying they too believe their child was murdered and was past off as a suicide. Something MUST be done about this. These families all live in Douglas county.
